Express Entry

The Government of Canada now offers an Express Entry option for new immigrants. If you are a skilled worker looking to become a permanent resident in Canada, then you are invited to take this path. CanadaPass Immigration Services will be here to help you every step of the way.

This process begins with the creation of an online Express Entry profile, through the Government of Canada website. One of our CanadaPass representatives will assist you in creating this profile. We will then help you draft an application, and submit it on your behalf.

Your application will be assessed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and ranked based on your age, education, and work experience, both within and outside of Canada.

CIC will determine your eligibility for one out of three immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST): Applicants must have an approved job offer, or a provincial certificate of qualification for practicing their trade.
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): Applicants must have acquired one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the past three years.
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW): Applicants must score over 67 points on the FSW measure of the Express Entry assessment, and have at least one year of skilled work experience.

Every two weeks, CIC will issue an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the highest ranking applicants. Your Express Entry profile will remain active for one year, and if you are not issued an ITA within that time, then we will create a new profile for you and resume the Express Entry process.

Once we receive your ITA, we will have 60 days to apply for your permanant residence. It will then take approximately 6 months for CIC to process your application for permanant residence.
